Athena 3D Face Authentication Reference Design
Athena is a reference design of a structured light, self-contained, 3D face authentication module. Based on our latest Belago 1.1 dot projector, our PMSIL+ flood illuminator as well as the Mira130 high QE image sensor. It allows to recognize a subject between 30-150cm from the sensor, including the functionalities of system wake-up, person authentication and present attack detection (PAD). For fast processing a RockChip 3399 SoC is onboard. Time from wake up to authentication is below 1 second, providing a convenient user experience for high security authentication. Athena is designed for integration into smart locks or point-of-sale payment terminals.
It outputs monochrome images with an effective pixel array of 1080H × 1280V, and supports complex on-chip operations such as high dynamic range (HDR) mode, external triggering, windowing, horizontal or
vertical mirroring. Its maximum frame rate is 120fps at a full image resolution. On-chip registers can be accessed via the standard I2C interface.
