TSL2540

The TSL2540 is a very-high sensitivity light-to-digital converter that approximates the human eye response to light intensity under varying lighting conditions and transforms this light intensity to a digital signal output capable through a 1.8V I²C interface. The ALS sensor features 2 output channels, a visible channel and an IR channel. The visible channel has a photodiode with a photopic Interferometric UV and IR blocking filter and the IR channel has a photodiode with an IR pass filter. Each channel has a dedicated integrating data converter which converts photodiode current into a 16-bit digital output. This digital output can be interfaced with a microprocessor where illuminance in lux is derived to accurately measure ambient light to control a displays backlight.

TSL25711

The TSL2571 family of devices provides ambient light sensing (ALS) that approximates human eye response to light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. While useful for general purpose light sensing, the device is particularly useful for display management with the purpose of extending battery life and providing optimum viewing in diverse lighting conditions. Display panel and keyboard backlighting can account for up to 30 to 40 percent of total platform power. The ALS features are ideal for use in notebook PCs, LCD monitors, flat-panel televisions, and cell phones.

TSL2584TSV

The TSL2584TSV is a very high sensitivity light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity into a digital signal output with a fast mode I²C interface. The device combines one broadband photodiode (visible plus infrared), one infrared-responding photodiode, and a photopic infrared-blocking filter on a single CMOS integrated circuit. Two integrating analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) convert the photodiode currents into a digital output that represents the irradiance measured on each channel. This digital output can be input to a microprocessor where illuminance (ambient light level) in lux is derived using an empirical formula to approximate the human eye response. The TSL2584TSV supports a traditional level style interrupt that remains asserted until the firmware clears it.

AS73211

The AS73211 is a digital XYZ sensor with I2C interface for relative and absolute color measurement and control. The combination of True Color XYZ sensitized photodiodes with a filter function based on the standard CIE 1931/DIN 5033 (human eye perception) and used interference filter technology as leading and most accurate technology of three-range sensors makes the AS73211 more accurate than RGB sensors and guarantee this function without spectral changings over lifetime. The AS73211 is designed with a high dynamic range to measure any light in the visible range (VIS) in environments from sunlight to dark rooms, dimmed LEDs, or dark colored monitors.

TCS3400

The TCS3400 device family provides color and IR (red, green, blue, clear and IR) ambient light sensing. The improved accuracy lux and color temperature measurement from color sensing is typically used to adjust the backlight intensity and correct the display color gamut. Additionally it can be used for light source type detection as it reports the IR content of the light.

TCS3430

The device features advanced digital ambient light sensing (ALS) and CIE 1931 tristimulus color sensing (XYZ). Each of the channels has a filter to control its optical response, which allows the device to accurately measure ambient light and sense color. These measurements are used to calculate chromaticity, illuminance and color temperature, all of which are used to support various potential applications.
The TCS3430 is ideally suited for use in smartphone applications to improve color measurement and intensity of ambient light conditions. The sensor can also be used to assist the smartphone camera sensor with color sensing of ambient light to enhance and improve picture white balance to deliver more realistic and vibrant images.

TSL26721

The TSL2672 family of devices provides proximity detection when coupled with an external IR LED. The devices incorporate a constant-current LED sink driver to pulse the external IR LED and achieve very low average power consumption using the low power wait state with programmable wait time between proximity measurements. In addition, the devices are register-set and pin-compatible with the TSL2671 series and include a number of new and improved features, such as improved signal-to-noise and measurement accuracy. A proximity offset register allows compensation for optical system crosstalk between the IR LED and the sensor. To prevent false measurements, a proximity saturation bit indicates that the internal analog circuitry saturated. Interrupts have been enhanced with the addition of a sleep-after-interrupt feature that also allows for single-cycle operation.

TSL235R

The TSL235R light-to-frequency converter combines a silicon photodiode and a current-to-frequency converter on a single monolithic CMOS integrated circuit. Output is a square wave (50% duty cycle) with frequency directly proportional to light intensity (irradiance) on the photodiode. The digital output allows direct interface to a microcontroller or other logic circuitry. The device has been temperature compensated for the ultraviolet-to-visible light range of 320 nm to 700 nm and responds over the light range of 320 nm to 1050 nm. The TSL235R is characterized for operation over the temperature range of −25°C to 70°C and is supplied in a 3-lead clear plastic sidelooker package with an integral lens. When supplied in the lead (Pb) free package, the device is RoHS compliant.

TSL237

TSL1401CCS

The TSL1401CCS linear sensor array consists of an 128 × 1 array of photodiodes, associated charge amplifier circuitry, and a pixel data-hold function that provides simultaneous integration start and stop times for all pixels. The pixels measure 63.5μm (H) by 55.5μm (W) with 63.5μm center-to-center spacing and 8μm spacing between pixels. Operation is simplified by internal control logic that requires only a serial-input (SI) signal and a clock.

TSL1401CL

The TSL1401CL linear sensor array consists of an 128 × 1 array of photodiodes, associated charge amplifier circuitry, and an internal pixel data-hold function that provides simultaneous integration start and stop times for all pixels. The array is made up of 128 pixels, each of which has a photo-sensitive area of 3524.3 square micrometers. There is 8-μm spacing between pixels. Operation is simplified by internal control logic that require only a serial-input (SI) signal and a clock.

TSL3301

The TSL3301−CL is a high-sensitivity 300-dpi, linear optical sensor array with integrated 8-bit analog-to-digital converters. The array consists of 102 pixels, each measuring 85 μm (H) by 77 μm (W) and spaced on 85 μm centers. Associated with each pixel is a charge integrator/amplifier and sample-hold circuit. All pixels have concurrent integration periods and sampling times. The array is split into three 34-pixel zones, with each zone having programmable gain and offset levels. Data communication is accomplished through a three-wire serial interface.

AS7261

The AS7261 integrates Gaussian interference filter technology to enable chromatic white color sensor which provides direct XYZ color coordinates consistent with the CIE 1931 2° standard observer color coordinates. Additional mapping of XYZ coordinates to the x, y (Y) of the 2-dimensional color gamut and scales of the CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate system, providing accurate correlated color temperature (CCT) measurements and color point deviation from the black body curve for white light color in the ∆u’v’ coordinate system. A near-IR channel and LED drivers with programmable currents increase application flexibility, including support for electronic shutter applications.

Control and spectral data access is implemented either through either the I²C virtual register set, or via the serial UART enabling use of the high level smart spectral command set.

AS7262

The AS7262 is a cost-effective multispectral sensor-on-chip solution designed to address spectral ID applications. This highly integrated device delivers 6-channel multispectral sensing in the visible wavelengths from approximately 430nm to 670nm with full-width half-max (FWHM) of 40nm. An integrated LED driver with programmable current is provided for electronic shutter applications.

The AS7262 integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology and is packaged in a LGA package that provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array. Control and spectral data access is implemented through either the I²C register set, or with a high level AT spectral command set via a serial UART.

AS7264N

The AS7264N provides direct XYZ sensor data which conforms to the tri-stimulus standard observer color response of the human eye. In addition, two channels added for measurement of blue spectrum light, plus a near-IR channel enables additional application flexibility. LED drivers with programmable currents are provided for electronic shutter applications.
The AS7264N integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology and is packaged in an LGA package that provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array.
Control and spectral data access is implemented through an I²C register set.
