VCSEL(Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser, 수직 공진 표면 발광 레이저)은 다른 유형의 레이저에 비해 다양한 장점을 제공한다. 그러한 장점은 다음과 같다.

ams VCSEL 기술에는 에피택셜 구조 및 칩 설계, 애피택셜 성장, 전공정 및 후공정, 패키징 및 고급 테스팅, 시뮬레이션 등이 포함된다. ams VCSEL은 최대 150°C의 주위 온도에서 작동한다.
