Engineer, Analog Design Support




Research & Development


  • Regular Fulltime





  • Provide EDA tool support to local and remote designers doing analog design
  • Improve and update the Safe Operating Area check and the lifetime checks used in analog design
  • Work together with the quality and modeling groups to improve the reliability flow
  • Collaborate with global design support team overseas to support a standard flow within the company
  • Work with EDA vendors (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) to report issues and find solutions to complex problems
  • Create or modify scripts (Unix shell, Tcl, Perl, Phyton) as necessary to automate common design tasks
  • Develop and deliver regular trainings to update designers with the new tool features
  • Contribute to internal knowledgebase articles and create app notes as necessary
  • Communicate with engineers and managers about tool issues, workarounds and fixes
  • Be able to multitask and juggle priorities as needed


  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with Cadence tools used in the analog design flow: ADE-XL, Spectre, Asserts
  • Experience in analog design flow: Schematic entry, Simulation, Corner analyis, Monto Carlo analysis, Safe Operating Area Check, Reliability
  • Proficient in Linux OS (Redhat), Unix Shell scripting, Tcl, Perl and Phyton
  • Knowledge of analog HDL languages like Verilog-A
  • Knowledge of using version control tools like DesignSync, Git, SVN is a plus
  • Should be a self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills
