Tech structured light - description

Structured light systems from ams enable 3D imaging applications to achieve extremely high accuracy. Accurate structured light technology is behind the user face recognition being implemented in smartphones. Structured light products and design expertise from ams help customers get to market quickly and scale up production rapidly.

These products, which provide
best in class performance, include VCSEL (laser) arrays, projection optics and diffractive optics. The offering from ams also includes expertise in system design (including dot patterns) as well as in assembly and system integration.

Athena - Structured Light 3D Face Authentication Reference Design

Athena is a reference design of a structured light, self-contained, 3D face authentication module. Based on our latest Belago 1.1 dot projector, our PMSIL+ flood illuminator and the Mira130 high QE image sensor, it allows recognition of a subject between 30-150cm from the sensor, including the functionalities of system wake-up, person authentication and present attack detection (PAD). For fast processing, a RockChip 3399 SoC is onboard. Time from wake up to authentication is below 1 second, providing a convenient user experience of the high security authentication. Athena is designed for integration into smart locks or point-of-sale payment terminals.

Hermes - Active Stereo Vision & Structured Light Evaluation Kit

Hermes is a USB 3D camera evaluation kit. Our 3D sensing solution both for active stereo vision and structured light can be evaluated with it. The 3D camera uses our latest Belago 1.1 dot projector featuring a focus free, high contrast, and randomized 5k dot pattern, our PMSIL+ flood illuminator as well as two Mira130 high QE image sensors. In simple software with a user interface running on any Windows 10 PC, the image streams and depth map can be visualized and exported for R&D.
