Growing demand for advanced sensor solutions coupled with the desire to better serve Chinese customers prompted office expansion Plans
Shanghai, China (April 15, 2015), ams AG (SIX: AMS), a leading provider of high performance sensors and analog ICs celebrates today the expansion of its Shanghai office with customers and channel partners. The move to the new office, now located at the renowned Shanghai Arch, will provide better support of ams’ local customers with onsite application support and local distribution partners. This new commitment l further underlines the company’s continuous investment and efforts in growing its presence in the region as well as an appreciation of the strategic importance of the China market.
Internet of Things (IoT) and wearable devices are gaining global attention, with no exception for China. This makes sensors essential for a broad range of devices and applications. According to IHS Light Sensor Report 2015, global light sensor revenues are projected to reach $767M in 2016, a 16% growth since 2013. With more than 30 years experience of analog design and system development, ams is in the best position to cope with these trends. ams has long recognized China’s importance in the global market and opened the first China office in 2004 and the first Shanghai office in 2006. Over the years, the company has been aiming to expand its presence in China with innovative products, a professional team and strong relationships with local distribution partners. The office move e to the Shanghai Arch with more spacious office accommodations does not only reflect ams’ rapid growth in the region, but also shows the company's commitment to better serving its customers in China.

Suzhou. The company also has offices in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, as well as a test center in Philippines.
