Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact cross-functional / cross-divisional strategy projects for ams Osram
  • Become a sought-after advisor on strategic issues for ams Osram's top management
  • Develop consistent strategy recommendations and manage their implementation
  • Drive decision making for merger & acquisition considerations of significant importance and high impact
  • Help to develop new tools and methodologies for Strategy Development or Lead the development of new tools and methodologies for Strategy Development

Your education and experiences

  • At least five years of relevant work experience within corporate strategy or business development preferably in the electronics or optical industry, and/or a leading top management consulting firm with direct project experience to relevant industrial sectors
  • Excellent knowledge of domain expertise in areas relevant to ams Osram, covering applications, products or technologies. Specific expertise with micro-optical solutions or sensor products & markets is a plus
  • A Master degree in science, engineering, economics, business or related disciplines with either a PhD in any of the above fields, or a MBA from a leading international school, or equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • The ability to apply structured problem solving methodologies and to structure complex tasks and problems
  • Deep experience to align project members across sites and divisions, outstanding team and people skills
  • A proven capability to discuss and communicate project results to top management and functional experts
  • A strong track record of winning stakeholder’s trust and to develop excellent working relationships with Senior Managers at the company
  • Self-driven, able to execute difficult project independently without detailed guidance
