Your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and model novel membrane devices for sensor applications, in existing technologies and technologies under development.
• Develop from prototype devices all the way to qualified devices for mass production.
• Provide clear and unambiguous requirements for the designed components to match the product architecture.
• Define and contribute to development of new set-ups for membrane characterization in electrical and optical labs.
• Define characterization plan and analyze results from the designed
• Work in cross-disciplinary, multi-site project teams.
• Submit innovative patent proposals.
• Contributing to the ongoing creation of a positive, productive work environment.

Your education and experiences

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Semiconductors or related field
• Proven track of record in silicon-based membrane design: >5 years of industrial experience.
• Knowledge of membrane device design, simulation and Foundry processes
• Knowledge of characterization steps and methods of membrane devices in electronics and optical labs.
• Passion for novel technologies and sensors.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with multi-physics device simulations (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS) is an advantage.
• Experience with requirements engineering and System Engineering practices and tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of optics, packaging, electronics, acoustics, electromagnetics, etc. is a plus.
• Experience in bringing to mass production own membrane designs is an advantage
• Experience with task tracking systems (TeamForge, JIRA, etc.) is a plus.
• Good programming and modelling skills is an advantage.
• Inventive, taking initiative, enthusiastic with strong team work attitude
• Able to manage priorities of multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
