Your tasks and responsibilities
- Design and model novel membrane devices for sensor applications, in existing technologies and technologies under development.
- Develop from prototype devices all the way to qualified devices for mass production.
- Provide clear and unambiguous requirements for the designed components to match the product architecture.
- Define and contribute to development of new set-ups for membrane characterization in electrical and optical labs.
- Define characterization plan and analyze results from the designed
- Work in cross-disciplinary, multi-site project teams.
- Submit innovative patent proposals.
- Contributing to the ongoing creation of a positive, productive work environment.
Your education and experiences
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Semiconductors or related field
- Proven track of record in silicon-based membrane design: >5 years of industrial experience.
- Knowledge of membrane device design, simulation and Foundry processes
- Knowledge of characterization steps and methods of membrane devices in electronics and optical labs.
- Passion for novel technologies and sensors.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience with multi-physics device simulations (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS) is an advantage.
- Experience with requirements engineering and System Engineering practices and tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of optics, packaging, electronics, acoustics, electromagnetics, etc. is a plus.
- Experience in bringing to mass production own membrane designs is an advantage
- Experience with task tracking systems (TeamForge, JIRA, etc.) is a plus.
- Good programming and modelling skills is an advantage.
- Inventive, taking initiative, enthusiastic with strong team work attitude
- Able to manage priorities of multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
