Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Successfully initiate, plan, execute and close all project deliverables as committed
  • Ensure project definition documents are prepared and maintained
  • Publish project plans and schedules as needed
  • Ensure the schedules of the various constituencies involved are coordinated, and the multiple sub-project plans are consolidated into one master project schedule for project tracking
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope Identification and resolution of issues
  • Prepare, publish and communicate project status to Business Line management team, including input into the designated tracking systems
  • Advise corporate management on all perceived risks to the successful completion of the project, and obtain decisions and approval from management on changes to project scope, design, schedule and cost.
  • Timely escalation of issues and risks to the project review board and taking responsibility to resolve project issues
  • Coordinate project team meetings
  • Coordinate and track dependencies for the successful completion of the project
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within project teams to enable smooth execution
  • Represent AMS in a professional manner to all supported customers. Ensure clarity in communication and follow-up of all actions.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external customers as appropriate in order to ensure the delivery of high quality service and system support
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

Your education and experiences

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Project Management, managing complex Semiconductor ICs projects in a multi-site environment
  • Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering / physics / optics or similar is preferred
  • Must have proven experience working with Tier 1 OEMs in the Mobile or Consumer electronics domain
  • Experience in technical understanding of hardware/software design, optical sensors (Ambient light sensors, Proximity and / or Time of flight Sensors) is a strong plus
  • Technical understanding of System-on-Chip architectures including digital, analog and software design is a strong plus
  • PMP certification is preferred with strong aptitude for risk management
  • Proactive, assertive attitude, flexible and results driven
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills preferred
  • Strong leadership, time management and analytical skills
  • Must have experience with standard Project Management tools
  • Willing/able to travel to visit different Project Management sites to work with the Project Managers and local resources
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver on schedule and cost commitment
  • The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
