Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Drive PE team objectives for the NPI programs by managing staff and planning
  • Secure quality of the PE deliverables in the handover to MP
  • Secure target yield and quality levels for the assigned portfolio
  • Develop people and PE competence in the team
  • Resource manager of the NPI PE team in all aspects: recruiting, contracting, allocation, performance management, competence management, engagement
  • Responsible for the quality of all PE deliverables in the assigned portfolio from NPI to MP
  • Secure proper hand over from NPD to NPI (incoming quality) and NPI to MP (outgoing quality)
  • Deliver launch yield according to target
  • Complaint handling (supporting MP) and ownership of escalations
  • Secures PE team adheres to agreed processes, way of working and quality systems (e.g. appropriate ENG flow, compliance with IATF16949 for Automotive products)
  • Apply adequate change management processes and support decision making with high quality data, analysis and recommendations
  • Implement the improvements (yield/CoGs/DfX) for the assigned product portfolio, in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Maintains a strong network with ams internal NPD & MP teams, FE and BE fabs (incl. OSATs)
  • Liaise with (NPI/MP) test team to support in data analysis to dive yield, cost improvements, and secure quality
  • Maintains a strong network with the (opto) semiconductor FE & BE industry and tool manufacturers (partners, suppliers, competitors) to secure our competences, technologies and processes are at industry benchmark level
  • Member of the PE LT, providing input on PE strategic direction and owning initiatives to execute accordingly

Your education and experiences

  • MSc degree in one of the technical disciplines Electronics, Physics, Chemistry or Material Science
  • A strong semiconductor technical background in product or semiconductor process engineering
  • Min. 5-7 years of experience in (opto-) semiconductors.
  • Proven experience in leading teams
  • Knowledge of product development process; test and/or fab experience required
  • Experience in product qualifications and quality standards
  • Experience in people development and performance management
  • Familiar with all aspects of the product lifecycle (from product definition to EOL)
  • Proficient in trouble shooting techniques and quality tools (8D, FMEA, DOE, Fish-Bone Analysis, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of project management concepts and experience in working with multi-disciplinary, international teams
