Adapter Board for AS5200L
General description
The adapter board of AS5200L allows you to evaluate the AS5200L, one of our automotive qualified dual die sensors, with all its features. The adapterboard consists of the AS5200L position sensor and its necessary external components. All relevant signals are available on a dual-row 2.54mm 4-pin header footprint and can be easily wired to an existing application. To read out the sensor over I2C connect the sensor to a standard microcontroller.

AS5200L
The AS5200L is an easy to program stacked dual die magnetic rotary position sensor with a high-resolution 12-bit I2C or PWM output. This contactless system measures the absolute angle of a diametric magnetized on-axis magnet. This AS5200L is designed for contactless potentiometer applications and its robust design eliminates the influence of any homogenous external stray magnetic fields.
The industry-standard I2C interface supports simple user programming of non-volatile parameters without requiring a dedicated programmer. By default the output represents a range from 0 to 360 degrees. It is also possible to define a smaller range to the output by programming a zero angle (start position) and a maximum angle (stop position). The AS5200L is also equipped with a smart low power mode feature to automatically reduce the power consumption. This device is designed for automotive applications and is AEC-Q100 grade 1 qualified. To enable safety-critical applications it has two separate sensor dies in one MLF-16 (5x5) package with wettable flanks.

USB I&P Box for I2C/SPI
USBI&PBox
The USB Interface & Programmer Box is an universal evaluation tool for magnetic position sensors with I2C or SPI interface. It comes with a 10-way cable to connect to a supported product on an existing board. The I2C or SPI wires are used for the communication (3.3V mode) and additionally the sensor can be powered from the USB I&P Box. By using the USB I&P Box Software, it is possible to read out the sensor data, write a configuration and to permanently program a configuration.
