Your tasks and responsibilities

  • As a Software Technical Lead, you will work with experienced software engineers to develop best-in-class customer centric software for highly innovative sensor solutions from drivers and firmware to libraries, algorithms and GUIs
  • You will work with Software Architects, Product Managers and different engineering teams to gather detailed business and technical use cases to deliver functional specifications for the development team
  • You will listen to internal users, team members, and customers to help encourage open collaboration
  • You will provide expert leadership of software development activities, across the complete software development lifecycle
  • You will contribute to the development of project goals, schedules, and resource planning
  • You will participate in code reviews and architecture reviews

Your education and experiences

  • MSEE/CS with 8-15 years of experience in embedded software development, both as an individual developer and as a leader with a proven ability to lead a team of developers and testers
  • Passionate embedded developer with broad experience: languages (C/C++, Python, Java), Open Source, full stack development in Linux and mobile environments (Android/WearOS/iOS)
  • Broad system level knowledge, intuitive understanding of system level interactions, performance trade-offs and a deep technical understanding of system architectures including digital-, analog- and software design
  • Excellent German and English written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence
  • Experience in two or more of the following topics: driver development, system programming, development under Unix/Linux, development under Windows, microcontroller systems, embedded systems, real-time operating systems, application development, cross platform GUI development (e.g. Qt), sensor systems, image processing
  • Experience with continuous build, integration and deployment tools and environments
  • Proficiency in using Git
  • Agile software development experience
  • Demonstrable record of crafting and developing high quality software products
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
  • Empathy, teamwork and strong communication skills are essential
  • You have used innovative approaches to solving problems, with a large base knowledge of algorithms and approaches
