Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Team Management:
  • Be accountable for the execution quality of your Solutions Engineering staff.
  • Define and maintain a vision/mission for the Solutions Engineering team and implement appropriate measures according to this.
  • Develop the team to a high performance team and ensure a high quality mindset in the daily work.
  • Adapt, rollout and ensure corporate work processes regarding reference design, optical design and technical customer documentation.
  • Lead a multi-site team engaged in reference design, demonstrator creation, generation of technical customer documentation and optical design.
  • Support and cooperate with organizational interfaces to achieve an overall high performance in Business Line.
  • Be member of the BL Automotive Engineering Management Team
  • Compile requirements from business owners and translate them into cost efficient product demonstrators/reference designs (HW+SW+mechanical+optical).
  • Create new ideas for demonstrators to attract customers and create technical customer documentation that is compliant to standards of ams and BL Automotive – automate document generation and head towards minimized generation efforts.

Your education and experiences

  • Your Profile
  • University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 10 years of experience in industry, preferably in automotive semiconductors.
  • Experience in optical design, solid state lighting development and respective technologies.
  • Affinity with the automotive business / OEM / Tier1 environment.
  • Proven expertise in automotive ecosystem and standards like TS16949, ISO 26262, AEC Q10x or ASPICE.
  • Strong leadership person with good communications skills and customer orientation.
  • Proven expertise of managing employees and stakeholders effectively.
  • Independent thinker, taking ownership, resilient and persistent.
  • Willingness to travel and work in intercultural and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in English and German: written and verbal, Dutch is an asset
  • Lead a multi-site team engaged in reference design, demonstrator creation, generation of technical customer documentation and optical design.
  • Develop complex optical systems by considering thermal, mechanical, electrical and optical aspects. Build up and maintain optical lab infrastructure.
