austriamicrosystems’ free float increases to around 93%

austriamicrosystems thanks Permira for outstanding support as key shareholder

austriamicrosystems (SWX: AMS), has been informed by key shareholder Permira, an international private equity specialist, that funds advised by Permira have sold their remaining shareholding of around 34% in the company to Morgan Stanley & Co. International Limited for placement with international institutional investors. Following this placement, austriamicrosystems’ free float will increase from around 59% to approximately 93%.

austriamicrosystems welcomes this step as the significantly higher free float creates a broader investor base and raises the profile of the company in the capital markets. austriamicrosystems thanks Permira for their strong support as a key shareholder over a considerable period of time and their assistance in re-positioning the company as a leading global provider of high performance analog semiconductors.

“We would like to welcome our new shareholders from this placement. We are convinced that given the increased free float and liquidity our shares are even more attractive for a wide range of investors. At the same time, we thank Permira for the outstanding support they have provided over the last years as austriamicrosystems has become a much stronger company excellently positioned in exciting market segments worldwide,” commented John Heugle, CEO of austriamicrosystems.
